Test comment
The sense of this, and other coming tests at our website, is to stress DVD backup software and make a comparison in quality of encoded pictures.

DVD Shrink is a favorite FREEWARE program for backing-up DVD. In this browsing program you can quickly, and according to your own specifications, set the compress ratio for individual parts of the disk, so you may also work with the sound and title streams. For a test of recoding quality we selected a full copy of the original disk, while parts such as menu and extras were downloaded with a compress ratio of a small percent in order to leave as high a percent as possible for the main film.

DVD Shrink also offers the Deep analysis function. After letting it run, the program goes through the entire backed-up disk and adjusts its strategy to recode its contents. Of course we employed this function during our test:
